Nagan Raya, 20 Agustus 2025 –The Monitoring Team again carried out security operations in the Protected Forest Area in Blang Puuk Village, Beutong Banggalang District.

During the operation, officers discovered illegal logging activity, with evidence including approximately 20 m³ of processed wood, five work huts, and various equipment. The perpetrators fled during the raid, and previously displayed prohibition banners were vandalized.

Firm action was taken by destroying processed wood, demolishing and burning five huts, and securing work equipment such as chainsaws, batteries, oil, and other equipment.

The Monitoring Team affirmed its commitment to continuing operations until all illegal activities are completely stopped. "This forest destruction is not only illegal, but also threatens the environment and the lives of the Beutong Ateuh community and Nagan Raya as a whole.
