Nagan Raya – APEL Green Aceh in collaboration with the Center for Environmental and Natural Resources Studies (PPLH SDA) of Teuku Umar University has successfully held an Environmental Impact Analysis (AMDAL) training, which was attended by various parties concerned with environmental sustainability in Aceh.
The training drew participants from diverse backgrounds, including academics, government representatives, community leaders, young graduates, and environmental activists. They actively participated in presentation sessions, group discussions, and case studies, deepening their understanding of the procedures and the importance of AMDAL documents in the development process.
One of the main achievements of this activity was that all participants were declared successful after undergoing a series of evaluations throughout the training. This demonstrates the effectiveness of the training in increasing participants' capacity on crucial environmental issues.
The Director of APEL Green Aceh expressed his hope for the continuation of this training program. "With these results, we are also planning further training for AMDAL assessors and several other certifications to support nature and environmental protection activities in Aceh," he said.
Through this activity, APEL Green Aceh and PPLH SDA Teuku Umar University hope to build a strong network and synergy between civil society, the academic world, and the professional sector, to continue to encourage more environmentally friendly and sustainable development practices.
