Suka Makmue Yayasan Apel Green Aceh initiated environmental education titled as Green School and Environmentally Conscious Students. Several programs and character building of environmental care continue to be encouraged in high schools and equivalent. So that the school becomes a green and beautiful school, and also supports the school to get Adiwiyata.

Rahmad Syukur, Director of the Aceh Green Apple Foundation, said that we will carry out the PESAN (Environmentally Aware Students) movement and also the Green School. With a program that aims for all students to continue to voice environmental awareness and character building for students related to environmental concerns.

"The first time we conducted socialization of environmentally conscious students at SMA Negeri 3 Kuala and continued to all high schools of the same level. Currently, we have various excellent programs related to Adiwiyata," said Syukur.

Some of these flagship programs include composting. Initially, the composting process was carried out independently. However, due to limited processing facilities and the large amount of organic waste, the composting process is now carried out independently.

"We still collect organic waste ourselves. Then the composting results are used for the plants in the school," explained Syukur.

In addition, there are also hydroponic cultivation, greenhouses, biopores, waste sorting, organic and inorganic waste processing, and energy savings.

He said that although the program is currently not running optimally, it does not dampen their intentions and enthusiasm to continue caring for the environment.

"We continue to maintain the rhythm to make the school a pioneer in saving the environment and a green school," added Syukur.

The Principal of SMA Negeri 3 Kuala, Yuswaruddin, S, Pd strongly supports the environmentally conscious student program. For that reason, teachers also participate directly in environmental care activities. He hopes that students' families and the community will also support and participate in environmental care.

"We instill the character to care about the environment. Although it takes a long time, we continue to try, because if it has become a character, then they will no longer be forced," said the Principal
